Georgie Clarke Vase
Competed for every year since 2012.
Format: Level play singles, knockout
Selection: Random allocation
Match type: Single game
Time limit: 50 minutes
Match winner: First to 7 hoops or person with most hoops at time out or, if scores are level, winner of next hoop.

Forrester Plate
Competed for every year since 2015.
Format: Level play, high/low doubles, knockout
Selection: The entrants are ranked in order of their current Handicap Index. The highest ranked is paired with the lowest ranked, the second highest with the second lowest and so on. Random selection is used when there is more than one player with the same index. Pairs are drawn randomly.
Match type: Single game
Time limit: 50 minutes
Match winner: First to 7 hoops or person with most hoops at time out or, if scores are level, winner of next hoop.

COVID Handicap Trophy
First played in 2020.
Format: Handicap singles. All play all within blocks with winners of each block proceeding to a Play Off block and all play all within the Play off block. The winner and runner up then play a Final. Handicaps reset to current levels before start of Play Off block matches.
Selection: In 2022 there were initially 30 entrants. These were divided into 6 groups of 5, with the first group made up of the 5 players with the lowest handicaps, the next made up of the next 5 lowest, and so on. The players from each group were then randomly allocated into the 5 different blocks.
Match type: Single game
Time limit: None
Match winner: First to 7 hoops. Block winners (and runner up in the Play Off block) are determined by the number of games won, or if 2 or more players are tied, the best hoop difference, or if there a still a tie, the winner of the game between the 2 tied players.

Advantage Doubles Tournament
Played for first time in 2022.
Format: Handicap doubles, using the new Advantage Croquet system with the mean handicap for each pair calculated as half the sum of the 2 individual player handicaps. Advantage Croquet Table of Starting scores used to determine starting scores for each pair in each game. All play all within blocks with block winners playing off in another all play all block to determine overall winner.
Selection: Players choose their own partners. 10 pairs played in the tournament in 2022. These were randomly allocated into 3 groups (1 with 4 pairs, 2 with 3).

Club heats of All England Handicap
Format: Handicap singles, in all play all blocks, with one block for each vacancy in the Area Final played at Surbiton.
Selection: Random allocation into blocks (only 1 block in 2022).
Match type: Single game
Time limit: None
Match winner: First to 7 hoops. Block winners are determined by the number of games won, or if 2 or more players are tied, the best hoop difference, or if there a still a tie, the winner of the game between the 2 tied players.
2022 result: 4 members entered and Tony White was the clear winner of the block.
Tony travelled to Surbiton to represent Maldon in the Area Finals, and placed 13th out of the 24 finalists.
Colchester Inter-club
Played annually by teams of 4 from 4 clubs (Colchester, Chelmsford, Maldon and Southchurch).
Format: Level play singles, with 4 all play all blocks, each consisting of a player rom each club. Top 2 from each block progress into knock out rounds.
Selection: Random allocation into blocks with draw for knock out stage determined by block scores (wins then hoop difference).
Match type: Single game
Time limit: None ?
Match winner: First to 7 hoops.
2022 result: Maldon was represented by Al Brown, Joan Fairclough, John Hustwick and Chris Joslin. Chris and Al reached the quarter finals and Al was the overall winner.
