Maldon Croquet Club have hung up their mallets for the end of the playing season.
To celebrate another successful year, a Presentation Evening and meal were held at Forrester Park Golf Club.
Members and guests witnessed the trophies being given out to club winners, after the meal. Chairperson Gill Stone and Captain Chris Joslin announced the winners of the Georgie Clark Competition, Jean Healey; Forrester Plate, Chris Joslin with Paul South; and the Legerton Handicap competition, Pete Howe. Tribute was paid to Vaun and Eunice Legerton who were founder members and inaugurated the Legerton Competition. They now live in Bucks, but Vaun is not well and they were unable to attend.
The recently retired secretary, Jean Healey, was presented with an engraved vase in appreciation of her magnificent contribution to the Club.
